Traditional Masculinity

We were put in the groups and each group had to present to everyone in class.

Traditional masculinity 

In the first clip as you can see there is the chef of the army and he is masculinity because he blood all over his face. Also he has got cuts and bruises.

In this clip this is the the man that is big and tall and looks in his eyes tell the chef that he isn't really going to listen to him and he will not stay information. As well he is showing signs of masculinity the way in which he is standing with big shoulders and taller than the other people.

This is a really good action shot  as it shows the man fighting. Also you can the blood and the sweet so it shows that the man is working hard in trying to win the fight.

In this clip of Rome the man is looking very high because he is on his horse and higher than anyone else.   This is a perfect example as well of a man wanting to be the best and let everyone know that they should listen to him and no one else.

This clip i though was really good because i shows him being whipped by another man because he left the war line to fight for himself and left everyone else. This then created a war between the chef and him this obviously is his punishment.

Revision

In the last week we learnt a very important word.

IDEOLOGY
This means a message that they are putting out across the audience.

E.G

When we look at a mens fitness magazine all we see is guys with loads of make up and really nice bodies. This is what women these days look for.
But when you look from a guys view the men in the magazines are more like women than men, they wear make-up and they have spray tans.

As you can see the ideal man wearing make up and also he looks like he has had his eyebrows done, this is not the ideal man he looks more like a girl than a man. 

The same in a way about Vin Desiel they portray him in fast and furious five as being the man around cars and racing and getting the girls. 

But when you really look at him and you read more in to him you will see that he isn't like it at all. At heart he is really nice and not really into cars that much and he doesn't like girl either. But women will still think that he is the ideal man he has the right body and a gorgeous face.

Superority and Domination

• During the first scene the female blonde character is shown as being dominate over the male actor because she is one that is controlling to the digger machine, which this is usally a males job.
• Looking at the clip there is small part when the camea is a short panning shot, the camera itself is on the three men more than the blonde women. which this shows to the audience that the three men have a domination over the women.
•  When the women is explaining to him that he should tell the people that he bread the Sabertooth tiger she was more dominate over the male, she was in chareg and she made him listen to her. When the man in the barn gets out the gun and pushs the women to the floor the man is more dominate over the women.
• Then when the other actors turn up in the background shot you can see them, then the shot changes to the man with the gun in the background looking scared and the women getting to her feet and she is worried about her coat, instead of saying thank you to the other actors. When the man in the barn sees the other actors he is shocked that people have guns and that they ask the question as to if he has the Sabbertooth tiger on his land. The domination has quickly changed from him to the other men.

 Clowing and Exaggeration

• When you watch the clip the women is portrayed to be disagreeable with the men. The man on the other hand is put across as being quiter and alot more calmer than the women. Which this then makes you think that the domination of the actors has chnaged a great deal.
• Also the women is very flusted and she is very angry. The camera is also amied down at the women and when you see the man on the screen it is aimed up. This shows that the domination has chnaged to the male actor.

Male Approval

• At the end of the second the male approval is really prominent. when the women wants something from the other man she use her body to get what she wants, also what she is wearing also helps her.

The Voice-Over Authority

• In watching the clip i dont find much evidence in helping me to evulate this part of the clip. But i will say that the men do more than the women.
